A Word from the Pastor...
Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Clinton, Arkansas! Our greatest desire is to follow the way of Jesus by providing a safe and welcoming place for anyone who desires to experience the unconditional love of God. United Methodists emphasize God’s grace, which is the power of God working in us to give us a transformed life. We believe this gift is available to everyone, so when we say all are welcome, we really mean all are welcome! At First United Methodist Church of Clinton, you will experience genuine hospitality regardless of where you are on your faith journey. Please know that you will be welcomed with open hearts and open minds. We are here for you, and we hope you will visit us soon!
Grace and Peace,
Rev. Brad Moore

During this season, when some find themselves without a church home due to closure or disaffiliation, there are congregations that will be making a special commitment to be a place of hospitality and a haven of hope. At Clinton First United Methodist Church, our desire is to truly live the motto: Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors.
At the April 2023 meeting of the Council of Bishops, the following statement was released...“As the larger United Methodist Church, we cannot be a traditional church only or a progressive church only or a centrist church only. Our churches must be more than echo chambers made in our own image, arguing with one another while neglecting our central purpose. Instead, we must be one people, rooted in scripture, centered in Christ, serving in love, and united in the essentials of our faith.” We are excited about being a Beacon Church. Our desire is to continue being a church where ALL are welcome to experience Christ and to be a part of Christ's church through our Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors. Please contact Pastor Brad if you have any questions or would like to learn more about about our community of faith.

The Prayer Garden at Clinton First United Methodist
"I come to the garden alone
while the dew is still on the roses,
and the voice I hear falling on my ear
the Son of God discloses.
And he walks with me, and he talks with me,
and he tells me I am his own;
and the joy we share as we tarry there,
none other has ever known."

What Loving Jesus Really Looks Like...
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what’s coming to you in this kingdom. It’s been ready for you since the world’s foundation. And here’s why:
I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.’
“Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’
Matthew 25:34-40 (MSG)
